Who Are We?

MAETL (Manitoba Association of Educational Technology Leaders) (formerly CECM - Computer Education Coordinators of Manitoba) was created in 1985 and has met regularly for over thirty years. MAETL is made up of school division technology system leaders that consist of educators and IT professionals from across Manitoba. We come together to encourage, promote and publicize the effective acquisition, organization, deployment, and integration of technology in Manitoba School Division and schools.

Our Mission

MAETL believes in the advancement of innovative teaching practices integrating technology. We believe that the power of technology can help to push what is possible for student communication, collaboration, critical thinking, creativity, and problem solving. Leveraging technology to support student learning and developing active digitally literate citizens is at the core of what we do.

Our Purpose

MAETL exists to help bridge the gap between technology and curriculum, to advocate for the effective integration of technology within individual school divisions and provincially across Manitoba.
